For Immediate Release September 16, 2008 Contact: Linda Boulton (310) 285-2455 BEVERLY HILLS SHOWCASE PRESENTS AN EVENING OF COMEDY & SONG WITH DEBBIE REYNOLDS BEVERLY HILLS, CA – On Friday, October 10, 2008 the Beverly Hills Showcase, A Series of Entertainment at Roxbury Park will present Debbie Reynolds, in an evening of Comedy & Song with Master of Ceremonies Dick Van Patten. This exciting event, co-sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department and the Beverly Hills Active Adult Club (BHAAC), will be held in the Roxbury Park Auditorium – 471 S. Roxbury Drive at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25.00 and $50.00 and can be purchased by calling (310) 285-6840. The proceeds will benefit programs sponsored by the Beverly Hills Active Adult Club (BHAAC). Ms. Reynolds is one of the entertainment industries most talented and versatile actresses, who has won the respect of her colleagues and the affection of audiences for many years. She is known for her countless appearances in movies, on stage and T.V., and is best remembered for her roles in Singin’ in the Rain and her Oscar nominated portrayal as The Unsinkable Molly Brown . Touring on an average of 44 weeks a year, Ms. Reynolds has performed concerts in every major American city. Most recently, Ms. Reynolds returned from a sold-out, six week multi-city tour of Australia and New Zealand. Not only is Ms. Reynolds a consummate entertainer, she is also a gracious humanitarian, who spends a great deal of time and energy raising funds for the Thalians, a charitable organization that provides mental health services for pediatrics to geriatrics at the Thalians Community Health Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Beverly Hills Showcase, A Series of Entertainment at Roxbury Park featuring Debbie Reynolds, is the beginning to what the City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department and the Beverly Hills Active Adult Club envision as an avenue to new and creative forms of entertainment for local residents, and surrounding communities.
